Fat Joe and Ja Rule faced off last night in a lively VERZUZ battle in NYC. Fat Joe performed hits like “All the Way Up,” “Flow Joe,” “All I Do Is Win (Remix),” “Sunshine (The Light),” “Get It Poppin',” “YES,” “Make It Rain,” and Big Pun's “Still Not A Player.” He bought out Remy Ma, Dre (of producing duo Cool & Dre), and Nelly, who confused the crowd when he performed his hit “Hot in Herre.”

Ja Rule performed his hits, including “Holla Holla,” “Between Me & You,” “Livin' It Up,” “Put It On Me,” “Down 4 U,” “I Cry,” “Mesmerize,” and Jennifer Lopez's “I'm Real.” He bought out Lil Mo, Vita and Ashanti — who also joined Fat Joe for “What's Luv.”

For their last songs, Fat Joe performed “Lean Back,” with Remy Ma and Ja Rule and Joe performed “New York” along with Jadakiss.

Other big moments from the VERZUZ battle include Joe presenting Remy and Ashanti with Birkin bags on stage. Joe also received backlash for calling Vita and Lil Mo “dusty b*tches.” Mo reacted to Joe's words by commenting “#disappointed” on Instagram, along with broken heart emojis.

Joe later apologized on Twitter, saying, “Shout out to the ladies very sorry if I disrespected I love vida and lil Moe I'm super sorry love my sisters.”

Fans also went wild when Nelly walked across the stage while Ja Rule and Fat Joe were performing “New York” to hug his ex Ashanti.
