Jack White both proposed to and married his girlfriend on stage in the middle of his concert on Friday (April 8th) at the Masonic Temple in Detroit. He popped the question after asking his now wife, Olivia Jean, to join him on stage for a duet of White Stripes' “Hotel Yorba.”
White's parents and bandmates were in attendance, while White's Third Man Record's co-founder Ben Swank served as the officiant, according to People.com. Swank began the ceremony by quoting Prince in saying, “Dearly beloved, we are gathered here today to get through this thing called life.”
This is White's third marriage.
