One of the most moving special guest appearances during the star-studded Glastonbury Festival over the weekend was Michael J. Fox, who came out to play guitar on Coldplay’s emotional hit, “Fix You.” Singer Chris Martin freestyled his introduction of Fox, “Here’s another legendary Michael, one who just totally rocks. With his Chuck Berry riff and the way he punched Biff, ladies and gentleman, please welcome Michael J. Fox.”

They brought out Fox, who was diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease back in 1991, in a wheelchair, with the actor joining the band for the last two songs of their set, “Humankind” and “Fix You.” Fox was surrounded by the band as he played guitar on the rousing bridge of “Fix You.” Following the set, Martin thanked the crowd and paid tribute to Fox, saying, “Especially, thank you. The main reason why we’re in a band is because of watching Back to the Future. So thank you to our hero forever, and one of the most amazing people around, Mr. Michael J. Fox.” (Entertainment Weekly)
