Since Noah Kahan formed his fundraising initiative, The Busyhead Project, last year, it has raised over $2 million to benefit mental health resources across the country. The singer-songwriter from Vermont uses money from his ticket sales along with direct donations to his project, and gives that money to organizations that are, “selected by Noah for their commitment to mental health awareness, with an emphasis on local impact by providing access to resources,” according to the project’s press release. When Kahan first started up The Busyhead Project, he set a goal of raising $1 million within its first year, but the group has now doubled those initial expectations. As of today, over 55 mental health affiliated organizations have already received funding from The Busyhead Project. (Consequence of Sound)
