Academy Award-winning actress Diane Keaton died on Saturday in Los Angeles at age 79. She was reportedly transported from her home to a hospital around 8 a.m., according to TMZ, though details about her cause of death remain unclear. Keaton won the Oscar for best actress for her iconic role in Woody Allen’s 1977 romantic comedy Annie Hall. She earned additional nominations for Reds, Something’s Gotta Give, and Marvin’s Room. Her other notable films included The Godfather series, Father of the Bride, and Baby Boom. Born Diane Hall on January 5, 1946, in Los Angeles, she began her career on Broadway in Allen’s Play It Again, Sam in 1969.
