DC Studios has selected Dan Perrault and Tony Yacenda to develop a television spinoff featuring Jimmy Olsen. The American Vandal creators will write, executive produce and run the show starring Skyler Gisondo, who reprises his role as the Daily Planet photographer from James Gunn’s Superman film. The series will follow Olsen and other Daily Planet reporters, excluding Lois Lane and Clark Kent, as they investigate cases with super-powered criminals. Gorilla Grodd will serve as the season’s main villain. The super-intelligent ape rules Gorilla City and first appeared in Flash comics in 1959. Perrault and Yacenda previously earned a Peabody Award and Emmy nomination for American Vandal, their mockumentary parody of true-crime series. (Story URL)
