Taylor Swift is giving fans a closer look at how the Patient Zero music video came together, releasing an expanded version that includes behind-the-scenes footage from the production.
The new eight-minute cut shows Swift discussing the concept on set, directing scenes, and working with Dakota Johnson and Colin Farrell. During the production footage, she explains how the video was designed as a polished, monochromatic story that gradually reveals the relationship between its central characters.
The expanded edition also captures more casual moments between takes, offering a clearer look at how the visual concept developed during filming. Johnson and Farrell appear as a married couple, while Swift plays a figure connected to the husband’s past.
Patient Zero is part of the expanded edition of The Life of a Showgirl. The additional footage focuses less on changing the story and more on showing the creative process behind the finished video, from performance direction to the visual choices used throughout the project.
