Cyndi Lauper’s classic hit Time After Time has received a fresh electronic update, bringing together three artists from different generations of pop music.
Released on October 23, 2026, through Spinnin’ Records, the new remix features Australian singer Tones And I and DJ and producer CYRIL. The collaboration combines Lauper’s original vocals with modern dance production and additional vocals from Tones And I.
The project follows a musical connection between Lauper and Tones And I, who previously performed Time After Time together in 2025. Tones And I later introduced Lauper to the remix she was developing with CYRIL, receiving the singer’s approval to move forward.
The updated version maintains recognizable elements of the original recording, including its opening guitar and Lauper’s distinctive voice, while introducing electronic rhythms designed for contemporary dance audiences.
Originally released in 1983, Time After Time became one of Lauper’s signature songs and remains a familiar part of 1980s pop music.
The new collaboration adds another chapter to the song’s history, connecting its original sound with the electronic production styles of today’s music scene.
