Foo Fighters brought a piece of their early history back to television with a performance of their 1995 song “This Is a Call” on Jimmy Kimmel Live! on October 27.

The performance was part of the band’s four-night residency on the late-night show during Halloween week. The group opened the series on October 26 with “Window,” a track from their 2026 album Your Favorite Toy.

“This Is a Call” originally appeared on Foo Fighters’ self-titled debut album, released in 1995. Dave Grohl recorded most of the album himself after Nirvana ended following Kurt Cobain’s death in 1994. The project eventually developed into a full band and launched a career spanning more than three decades.

The television appearance connected two different periods in the group’s catalog, bringing an early fan favorite alongside material from their latest release.

Foo Fighters have released 12 studio albums and were inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 2021. The band is also preparing for another series of stadium performances in Australia.
