Australian metal band Thornhill will headline Surf’s Up! Festival 2027, bringing a lineup of rock, metalcore, hardcore, and alternative acts to Melbourne.
The festival is scheduled for February 20, 2027, at Riviera Beach Club in St Kilda. Organizers have confirmed that Thornhill personally curated the lineup, which includes both Australian and international performers.
Joining Thornhill are Stand Atlantic, Alpha Wolf, SACE6, Justice for the Damned, Varials, Headwreck, Bloom, and Blinder.
Presented by Destroy All Lines, the event follows the 2026 Life’s A Beach festival, which featured a lineup curated by Australian metalcore band Polaris at the same venue.
The announcement comes during a notable period for Thornhill. Their 2025 album BODIES reached No. 4 on Australia’s ARIA Albums Chart and earned the group an ARIA Award for Best Hard Rock/Heavy Metal Album.
Presale tickets are scheduled to become available November 5, 2026, followed by general ticket sales on November 6.
Surf’s Up! Festival 2027 will be open exclusively to attendees aged 18 and older.
