Jay Z has finally forgiven Lil Mama for her VMA stage crash. During a conversation on Twitter Spaces with Alicia Keys earlier this week, the two discussed Lil Mama's infamous stage crash during their performance of “Empire State Of Mind” back in 2009.

When asked if he forgave Lil Mama, Jay Z said, “Of course, of course. Don't do that. That's our sister, man. We love her. I wouldn't recommend people jumping on other people's stage but, you know, we don't wish her no harm. That's corny.”

He continued, “She's a New Yorker, you know what I'm sayin'? She got excited, so you know, things happen and of course, of course, we love her. Yes, she's forgiven. And It's all love… And she was coming from a place of love. It may have been a little too excited but she came from a place of love.”

LIL MAMA RESPONDS

Lil Mama took to social media to respond, saying, “I appreciate hearing this portion of last nights conversation. This has always been my stance , Love. Love for both my big brother, big sister and my city. It brings clarity to all of us as a community to actually hear these words from our legendary leaders in music,” she wrote. “Thanks #JayZ and @aliciakeys for using your voices in this conversation . Hopefully we can have one together soon.”

JAY-Z SAYS BEYONCE IS AN 'EVOLUTION' OF MICHAEL JACKSON

Meanwhile, social media went wild when Jay Z said that Beyonce is an evolution of Michael Jackson. He said, “Bey’s gonna be mad at this for saying this, but Michael Jackson never had a Coachella. She’s an evolution of him because she watched him at 9 years old. And the kids are the same.”

He continued, “Find me a concert that’s as culturally relevant and thrilling as Coachella. Beyoncé is gonna be one of the best singers we ever heard because she is such a student.”

Of course people reacted swiftly. One person tweeted, “Respectfully Michael Jackson never needed anything like Coachella throughout his lifetime. Michael Jackson has had double the audience of anything Beyoncé ever had. M.J. had people literally fainting and being transported on stretchers… No offense but M.J. is unmatched.”

Another fan tweeted, “To think that nobody can ever be a better artist than Michael Jackson is down right delusional. Beyoncé surpassed him years ago. And if Beyoncé were a male, she would have been given that ‘GOAT’ title a long time ago.”
